ERCS provides Remote Support Services designed to help individuals live more independently, safely, and confidently in their own homes or communities. Through technology and real-time support, we connect individuals with trained professionals who are available whenever assistance is needed.
Remote Support Services combine assistive technology with live professional support. With ERCS, individuals can receive help with daily living tasks, safety monitoring, reminders, and other personalized needs—all while maintaining independence at home.
1. Assessment & Planning: We work with the individual and their support team to determine needs.
2.Customized Care Plan: ERCS develops a person-centered plan that includes specific goals and supports.
3.Technology Setup: Our team installs and trains the individual on the use of remote support tools.
4.Ongoing Support: Services begin, and the individual has access to our remote staff 24/7 (if needed).
It depends on the individual. Some people use ERCS Remote Support Services as a long-term solution, while others may use them temporarily until more independence is gained. Plans are flexible and adjusted as needs change.
Most individuals use Medicaid Waiver Services to cover the cost of ERCS Remote Supports. In some cases, private pay or other funding sources may be available. We’ll guide you through the funding process.
Yes! ERCS Remote Support Services are not limited to the home. They can extend to community activities, workplaces, or other settings—wherever support is needed.
No. ERCS Remote Supports are not a replacement for DSPs. Instead, they complement in-person support. Remote services can reduce the need for constant in-person staffing while still ensuring safety and independence.
The individual can easily reach ERCS staff through their support technology system (tablet, phone, or device). Staff are notified immediately when support is requested or when alerts are triggered.
ERCS Remote Support Services are an HCBS (Home and Community-Based Services) option. A person-centered plan is developed with input from the individual’s support team.
However, the final decision to receive Remote Supports rests solely with the individual receiving Medicaid Waiver Services.
